International school of excellence where people of different ages and cultures gain education, including, primary to secondary - high school that will provide a variety of learning environments and opportunities as we envisage a new era of productive Liberians.
It is a great honor for me to serve as the school’s principal, and instructional leader for the African Leadership Academy School System. ALASS has a committed staff and administration that believes that every child has the right to a caring and safe environment in which they achieve their full potential.
At ALASS, we care about our children as if they were our own. We share with them the vision and the mission. We are preparing future leaders for the transformation of Liberia, and the world to a better place where all will realize the essence of education in the spirit of unity and corporation.
Our students are taught by teachers who believe that ALASS begins with children, and ends with children. Everything we think and do is about the growth and development of our students. This principle is reflected in our teachers who arrive early and go home late. They stay up late in preparing lessons, reviewing skills mastered, and/or preparing skills that will need reteaching.
Our students are taught by teachers who possessed a wealth of knowledge and experience. Teachers who had gone back to school, and attended many in-service workshops. They have received advanced degrees and continuously take time to update their skills. The whole school benefits from them bringing back information learned.
We instill in our student’s high degree of excellence, and moral values while taking them to the next level.
This is accomplished through scholastic excellence, quality effort, excellent attendance, and maintaining high standards for all.
We strive to help our students develop socially by proving a variety of learning strategies in all types of settings. We truly believe in their limitless capacity to learn and think critically.
In closing, I challenge you to commit to assisting in the pursuit of attaining our goals. From this, we extract a full measurement of commitment to the cause of educating our children and being a viable support system in the community and nation.
